Bio

Nadia Jade (she/her) is a multipotentialite with a thousand interests, all of which feed into her artistry as a communicator.

Across her career she has worked as an indie music booking agent for venues and clubs, as a venue manager for UK nightclubs, in independent radio as a DJ in Australia and Glasgow. She has worked as circus producer and marketer sending shows off across three continents. Once a small town Queenslander, she has travelled widely and has a cosmopolitan knowledge of the wider world.

She is an active independent artist who creates, produces and performs in circus and sideshow productions, under the name of Moment of Inertia Productions, alongside long-term collaborator Adam Wood.

She currently works as a freelance marketing consultant, as well as Digital Communications & Administrative Officer for gender equality festival WOW (Women of the World) Australia. Her first forays into arts marketing were as an independent artist, so she implicitly understands the parameters of marketing indie events.

She is a 2017 Alumna of University of Queensland in Arts and Communications, majoring in Political Science, Indigenous Studies and Public Relations.

Nadia is Editor-In-Chief of alt-art indie media project Nothing Ever Happens in Brisbane, and is passionate about rejuvenating arts criticism in Queensland and Australia. Nadia has personally published over 100 pieces of arts criticism plus numerous articles and interviews.

In 2021 she released her first chapbook of poetry, ‘Lovers Sagas Liaisons and Affairs’.

She is a storyteller with an unerring sense of the zeitgeist, who can be trusted to paint evocative pictures with words.

Nadia is privileged to live, work and play on the stunning Turrbal and Yagera country, and acknowledges that our First Nations People were the original storytellers, artists and communicators. I pay my respect to elders past and present.
Sovereignty was never ceded.
