How to sell your show in six weeks

  • This is a focused arts marketing workshop that looks at how to create a six-week marketing campaign. This is perfect for independent artists, producers and marketers who are putting on their own short seasons, cabaret or variety events, creating short tour packages, creating new work for local venues and festivals such as fringe festivals, and emerging and/or independent arts companies.

  • - How to plan a six-week campaign from on-sale launch to opening night to season close to thank you posts

    - Time versus money: How to manage an independent budget (that is, a very small one!)

    - How to decide what tactics to use in your campaign plus my favourite tactics

    - Who is your audience and how will you find them, and how will you connect with them

    - What social media channels should I use

    - What are the key campaign touchpoints

    - How to identify the network resources you already have

    - How to create maximum impact with minimum time and resources

    - Collateral - words, images, video, media releases, newsletters

    - How to manage your time so you don’t burnout especially if you are also performing/directing/building/hustling/working your day job

  • Each student will be provided with a work folder of templates for the different tactics we discuss during the workshop, including the basic 6-week campaign template.

    What to bring: notepad or digital device to take notes

 

One-on-One Sessions

In these individual sessions, Nadia will mentor you or your team personally to assess your skills and current marketing strategy and create a plan for your future campaigns. Up to three people from the same company or event are welcome. This is a great way to upskill your team fast!

1 hour 15 minutes, $115 per session

You could use this time to:

  • Create a tailored strategic marketing plan for you as an individual or for your independent company

  • Assess your current or past marketing campaigns

  • Personal training in any aspect of arts marketing

  • Do a deep dive into understanding Meta paid marketing statistics

  • Any other specialist marketing topic that you desire.

During this time we will create a shared Drive doc to document our session. I recommend bringing a device to take notes, or a notepad if you prefer.
